Image via Wikipedia It’s still early in the rounds yet, but 2010 Wimbledon is here, and people seem to already be very excited about it! Roger Federer, who has won Wimbledon six out of the past seven years, is still going strong and favored to win again. This is music to my ears, because I [...]
Last year, Rafael Nadal could have made winning the French Open a five-year streak. However, a young Swede came in and upset that streak last year and claimed the title for his own. That Swede was Robin Söderling. Even so, Rafael was able to exact his revenge this year and reclaim his crown, beating Söderling [...]
Image via Wikipedia The 2010 French Open has been going on for almost two weeks, and I didn’t even realize it until tonight. The French Open is held in Paris at the Roland Garros Stadium on clay courts. The Final is set to start at 15:00 Parisian time on Sunday, June, 6th (that means on our TV sets at [...]
Roger Federer has always been the greatest tennis player EVER to me. Watching him play is like watching ballet. His fluidity on the court is what makes me think, hey, I can do this; it's not so hard! And so I go, and I wind up feeling like a bull in a china shop. Not Roger, though, who was probably polishing his backhand in the womb.
Obviously, it's been awhile since we've seen each other! A lot has happened since we last spoke. Jon and Kate split. There were some unfortunate deaths in the entertainment world, such as Michael Jackson (in case you didn't hear) and BILLY MAYS!. Britney got a new boyfriend. Rihanna ditched Chris Brown for that wheelchair dude from Degrassi. And Amy Winehouse is still Amy Winehouse...I think.
Like this is really any surprise, but Roger Federer beat Andy Roddick today at the Australian Open, making him a finalist. He defeated Andy Roddick in three straight sets: 6-2, 7-5, 7-5 and could possibly soon tie the record for the 14th Grand Slam title.
Swiss tennis champ Roger Federer beat Scot Andy Murray today for his fifth straight win at the U.S. Open. This was Andy Murray’s first Grand Slam final. Federer beat Murray in three straight sets, 6-2, 7-5, 6-2. This was his thirteenth Grand Slam title, which puts him second behind Pete Sampras‘ all-time record of 14 [...]
Andy Murray, tennis champ from the UK, has beaten Rafael Nadal in the 2008 U.S. Open semi-final. This is his first grand-slam final, and quite a shock to most of us who were expecting to see Nadal go against Roger Federer tomorrow in the final match. This will make put Andy in the #4 ranking [...]
Tennis is one of the only sports I can stand to watch on television, and I have been following the 2008 U.S. Open quite avidly this year, especially the men’s. After a couple of years of becoming a tennis fan, I can’t help but to have developed a bit of a crush on Swiss pro [...]
