About
Too often you read gossip on a website, but you don’t ever get to “know” the person behind the sarcasm and information. We at Gravy and Biscuits think that sometimes, real life is just as funny as the goings-on in Hollywoodland. We aim to give you insight into our lives as well as the lives of others. That way, we won’t be just some faceless entity behind a computer screen. And you may wind up finding out more than you ever wanted to know.
The name “Gravy and Biscuits” comes from two phrases I always use when reading the headlines: “Good Gravy!” and “That really burns my biscuits!” It seems like any story you hear these days, whether it be regarding the Presidential race or the latest pop wreck forgetting her underpants, can be related to one of these phrases.
The site is dedicated to two people (a common-law husband and wife team) writing whatever the hell they want to write about current events and pop culture. This site will feature stories on sports, celebrities, politics, news, and anything else we feel like including. It won’t always be sunny, and it won’t always be safe for work. But it will hopefully be sure to make you laugh, regardless of how raunchy it may sometimes be! At Gravy and Biscuits, we promise to be true to our Southern roots, and praise the good and scorn the bad. And just like southern comfort food, it won’t always be good for you, but it will hopefully leave you feeling satisfied.
Jebbica is a writer for websites such as hollywoodcrap.com and idol-mania.com/american-idol-fan. She got her start as a writer for a Chattanooga, TN alternative weekly called Enigma Magazine, then a chance encounter led her to writing for backseatcuddler.com and gabbybabble.com, and she has been hooked on making fun of celebrity gossip ever since. Her work has been featured in USA Today, Chicago Sun-Times, The Insider, and MTV News. A self-described “poor kid with a dream,” the now twenty-something has realized that there is indeed life beyond the trailer parks and mill work and meth/baby making associated with most people in her small Southern hometown. She acquired the nickname “Jebbica” in high school when Barbie showed up in the flesh to sign autographs at her hometown’s grand opening of the local Wal-Mart. When she signed Jessica’s name, her “S”s looked like “B”s and she has been Jebbica ever since.
