Celebs Create Another New Medical Condition for us Regular People to Obsess Over

Time to add another fabricated medical term to the English vocab.

Today’s new word is pregorexia.

“Some women get so obsessed with keeping their weight in check while pregnant that they go overboard on dieting and exercise and put their baby’s health at some risk, experts say.”

A woman has the excuse to be overweight for at least 9 months. Imagine that much time to eat whatever you wanted without doing so much as a deep knee squat and having a built in excuse of a ‘bun in the oven.’ It’s the one trade off for carrying around another human for 9 months and the years of torture on the horizon.

Look out, here comes the blame! (More after the jump!)

“I think we’ve never before been more kind of obsessed with celebrity culture, and with celebrity pregnancies, as well. It’s not unusual to see pictures of these celebrities the day before and the day after birth and they’re looking super-humanly fit. They’re really incredible.” said Dr. Holly Phillips on he Early Show.

Celebs look good pregnant so women feel the pressure to look just as good. Which is understandable because the average woman is also followed by paparazzi when they hit the Stop N’ Shop, drop off their husband’s dirty BVD’s at the cleaners, and meet Doloris for a lunch date and impromptu Scrabble game. Celebs: THEY ARE NOTHING LIKE US!

“But you also have to remember a lot of these celebrities are just genetically blessed” said Phillips, “They have the best dietitians, nutritionists, (trainers), etc. They certainly have an advantage.”

Which is what makes them celebrities; good looks, genetics and money. Also the reasons the average woman is NOT a celebrity.

Next stop? Preglimia. The act of trying to vomit out a baby.

Before mothers ruined the lives of their children AFTER they are born. Now they are screwing them up before the cork even pops.
