Great Buy of the Day: Tomato Face Scrub

Tomato Face Scrub

Keeping up with the theme of sharing about quality products at great prices, today’s great buy of the day is some Tomato Face Scrub I found at Bath and Body Works. I have always been a hard-core fan of the apricot face scrub from St. Ives that you buy at the drug store, but sometimes it can be a little harsh. Recently I discovered the Bath and Body Works outlet store, and I basically went nuts in there! If there is one in your area, check it out, because you will find all types of goodies for next to nothing. When I found this 4 oz bottle of Pure Simplicity Tomato Face Scrub, I decided to try it out.  It was marked $18 on the bottle and I paid $2.99 for it at the outlet!

It is absolutely amazing.  It does wonders on your skin, it really does.  It exfoliates, but then it has some moisturizing agents too so it leaves your skin feeling really soft.  It smells really nice without overpowering, too.  At the end of the day, your skin is soft and smooth, but not oily.  You wind up with a great complexion.  The only thing negative I have to say about it is, if it gets in your eyes, it stings like a mother!  Other than that though, I absolutely love it!

I couldn’t find any at the B&BW website, but if you Google “Tomato Face Scrub,” you can find some on sale at eBay and Amazon.  I think it’s running from between $10 and  $15.  Even at that price, the way it makes your skin look and feel, I’d absolutely recommend trying some.  It’s great for all types of skin, which is a plus, too.

We’d like to hear what treasures our readers have been finding, too!  Feel free to send in a comment or email us at gravynbiscuits@gmail.com.  Who knows, we might share one of your stories!

I like this idea Jessica. I too like spending a lot less money for an item that my neighbor may have bought for 4x the price that I did. I want to throw this out there for your readers that the department store Marshalls really works for me. They have designer named products usually marked at around 50% of the suggested retail price. I purchased a Kenneth Cole Reaction laptop bag for like $40 and the SRP was closer to $100. My favorite thing is when they run a clearance sale on merchandise because then the savings are ridiculous. I get most of my clothes from there. I recently purchased a couple of suits (a black one and a pinstriped one) I believe they were Pierre Cardin each for $100 and the guys out there know that these suits go for like $350. Polo style shirts and Docker style pants (which are my required dress code at work) are a plenty at great savings. Why spend $50 on a pair of pants when you can get them for $20 or less. I think Marshalls is in most states. Second runner up is Kohls. Again if you can catch their Fathers Day Sale which is coming soon you’ll find deals at or better than 50%.

Thanks, Mike, and I hope everyone keeps their stories coming!

I love the Biore Pore Refining Exfoliator. It’s like $8 and you can get it at Wal-Mart or anywhere. The exfoliators in it are ultra fine microbermabrasion-y stuff so it really digs around in there but doesn’t turn your face into sand paper. I always used the St. Ives Apricot crap before too and it’s a little like rubbing gravel on your face so it’s been resigned to the tub to be used only as a body scrub.
