People can hate on Kanye West all they want, but I think he’s awesome. I think half of what he does to piss off the press is just a marketing scheme, which I find commendable. And he never disappoints with his music and videos. He’s constantly raising the hip hop bar, reminding other artists that they can’t keep putting out the same crap over and over again and it be okay.
In his latest video, “Champion”, he doesn’t even appear in the video at all; rather, a puppet bearing his likeness gets to be the star! I haven’t seen a puppet so cool since that episode of Angel…remember that one? Where Puppet Angel kicks major ass and you almost forget it’s a puppet doing all the work? Yeah, good times.
