Ne-Yo has been called the busiest man in R&B. He writes songs for Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Lindsay Lohan. In addition, his third solo disc coming out later this year: Year of the Gentleman.

Ne-Yo has also spared some time to do an exclusive performance and interview for Soundcheck, a joint promotional effort from Wal-Mart and Unilever.

In the interview, Ne-Yo chats about “life in the fast lane, writing the great American hit, and the new record.” He also talks about what it means to be a gentleman, and he’s so cute when he’s talking about how he wants to bring back the Rat Pack and treating women with respect to the forefront.
