It might seem kind of odd, but Bob Dylan is slated to release an album of Christmas songs this year.
To me, that means: one of the greatest songwriters of the last century is lending his gravelly voice to mediocre Christmas tunes that have been done to death. Among these: “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, “Here Comes Santa Claus”, and “O Little Town of Bethlehem”.
I don’t know about you guys, but as much as I love Bob Dylan, I’m not excited about this album. I hate Christmas music, I hate that there are only like 10 songs that everyone just remakes over and over again, and I hate that no one ever writes any new songs. If anyone could write us some new Christmas songs that we will be singing for generations to come, it’s Bob Dylan.

well lets just hope that he will also include original songs aside from those remakes just to make this album a bit different form the rest. But personally, I’m excited about the album. I am just hoping he will be doing a new one not just remakes.
