Before Gillian Anderson was picked to play Dana Scully and become a pop culture icon on the X-Files, the Fox network thought it would have worked out better if Pamela Anderson had taken the part.
Says Gillian Anderson, “They were looking for someone bustier, taller, leggier than me. They couldn’t fathom how David and me could equal success. At the beginning, nobody trusted that I could do anything. I had no body of work behind me at all, and, certainly Fox felt very strongly that I wasn’t the right person for the job.”
Can you imagine if this had actually worked out that way? The show would have lasted about two episodes, and we would be without such a sci fi cult phenomenon. Besides, Gillian is by FAR the hotter of the two Andersons. Don’t believe me? Check out her Maxim photos.
