Tropic Thunder co-stars Robert Downey Jr., Ben Stiller, and Jack Black made an appearance with Gladys Knight on last night’s finale of American Idol. The guys posed as The Pips to Gladys’ “Midnight Train to Georgia”, one of my favorite songs ever! Downey Jr. looked pretty sexy, but I’m kind of worried about his upcoming role in Thunder. He’s donning blackface as an Oscar-winning actor playing a role written for a black man. It will either turn out genius or like Soul Man, and the latter really scares me!
