Gwyneth Paltrow Getting Cooking Show with Mario Batali?

Published by Jebbica at 1:05 pm under Celebrities, Gwyneth Paltrow, TV

Gwyneth Paltrow is hoping to have her own cooking show. The show will be called Spain…On The Road Again, and will co-star Mario Batali, and it will showcase Spanish cuisine.

The show is supposed to begin airing this fall.

However, it seems there are legal issues at the moment, so production may be delayed.

But the show–due to air this fall–has been hit with legal action from Ben Karlin, a former head writer for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, who claims to have been approached to “conceptualize and oversee” a companion book to the program in 2007.

Would you watch Gwyneth Paltrow cooking on TV? I would, but only because I watch pretty much every cooking show in the world and still can’t successfully nuke a pack of Ramen.

Publicity says the book’s out in October and it’s ‘by Gwyneth Paltrow and Mario Batali’. Guess things (money) have been settled with Karlin. But anyone seen a review copy? I haven’t (and I get sent them) but I have seen two other Spanish books – A Late Dinner by Paul Richardson and Menu del Dia by Rohan Daft. Both good.

Miss pretty Gwyneth can cook my tube steak rare with her mouth anytime. I’ll provide the sauce for her. Find that on a menu at a restraunt.

Rohan Daft’s Menu de Dia is lovely and charming. A book to read as well as cook from. Hasn’t Mark Bittman written Mario and Gwyneth’s ‘Spain … On The Road Again’?
