the_closer1 What to Watch on TV Tonight: Monday, July 14

    9-10PM
    TNT, TV-14-V
    Season Premiere
    The Closer
Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) is back for a fourth season — and this time she’s snacking a lot less and showing off her hot bod a lot more (10 minutes in and she’s already prancing around in her panties). Partial nudity aside, tonight’s opener has Brenda leading an arson investigation with the help of her season 1 stalker, pyromaniac Bill Croelick (Life on Mars‘ Jason O’Mara), who likes to douse his victims with alcohol and set them ablaze. The murderer’s a bit obvious, and the subplot about Brenda’s fiancé Fritz (Jon Tenney) urinating in their shower is soggy. But Brenda and Bill have enough reluctant chemistry and icky tension to make Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lecter proud.

    8-9PM
    BBC America, TV-PG
    Season Premiere
    Top Gear
James and Richard play soccer in a Toyota. Did they learn nothing from Peter Brady and the basketball?

    8-9PM
    ABC
The Bachelor: Where Are They Now?
More importantly, is Jason still on bended knee somewhere out there?

    10-11PM
    TNT, TV-MA-LSV
    Season Premiere
    Saving Grace
Holly Hunter is at it again, trying to figure out Grace’s past while also nabbing criminals. (On TV, Oscar winners can multitask.)
