NELS CLINE
“Coward”
(Cryptogramophone)

“This record reflects a far-and-wide aesthetic imagination, one that’s been broadening for a long time.”

“Meditative and minimal as these pieces may be, they’re written with rigor. Hear them once, and you might only be lulled, but one more time and you’ll hear the purpose and symmetry.”

“. . .much of this record strikes a similar tone: it sounds like both an advertisement and an elegy for deep listening.”

This album features the Wilco guitarist playing the following instruments: acoustic guitars, electric guitars, effects, shruti boxes, autoharp/zither things, Megamouth, Quintronics Drum Buddy, Kaossilator

Be sure to check it out! We will have all of the Tuesday CD releases listed on Gravy and Biscuits tomorrow.

About

After being alive for over three years, Gravy and Biscuits finally found its home as an indie music e-zine. The staff is a group of Southerners who love good music, from indie to bluegrass to electronic, and lots in between. Review-wise, we aim to give both intimate and informative reviews without being pretentious. Anybody can use a thesaurus, but we have Southern charm.
